Se trata de un despropósito cuya magnitud resulta difícil de apreciar sin rozar los temidos spoilers. Baste decir aquí que el guión no tiene medida alguna, que este Holmes idea una muerte para sí mismo carente de toda lógica y que, de asistir a ella, al original le haría volverse a la tumba.
Se ofrecen, además, hasta tres explicaciones al final del metraje, a cual más estrafalaria, hasta el punto de que cuando llega la última no se sabe bien si se está asistiendo a un "cómo se hizo" o forma parte del episodio.
