Largo plantel de grandes, medianos y mediocres actores del cine español lo que nos ofrece Garci en este aguafuerte de vidas entrecruzadas del Madrid de 1950. Garci usa la elipsis y los silencios como un impresionista, espera quizá que su sentimiento sea trasplantado al plano del espectador, lográndolo a veces pero no siempre. No obstante, el relato intrincado y entrecruzado de diversas historias está estupendamente filmado. En esta película desfilan como una estantigua de seres extraviados de su suerte
