Western Ex-Buffalo Hunter and entrepreneur Wyatt Earp arrives in the lawless cattle town of Wichita Kansas. His skill as a gunfighter make him a perfect candidate for Marshal but he refuses the job until he feels morally obligated to bring law and order to this wild town.

Un gran wenstern, que se eleva por encima de lo standard gracias a la refinada dirección de Tourneur. La historia de Wyatt Earp (Joel McCrea) poniendo orden en una ciudad llena de maleantes, tiene un toque de gentileza poco frecuente en el género, y buenas interpretaciones.
