Cinco historias cargadas de humor negro y tenebrosidad unidas a modo de historieta de terror, presentadas como el tebeo de terror que no dejan leer a un niño, y culminadas con la venganza del niño como fín de la película. Los cinco relatos son realmente originales y en mayor o menor medida escalofriantes, predominando el humor macabro sobre el terror en unos y alternando a partes iguales en los otros. El comienzo entre relato y relato en forma de cómic, y la congelación y conversión a viñeta gráfica de los finales de relato es una idea brillante y que contribuye al escalofrío colectivo que genera esta película.
