Nicholas Cage interpreta en esta película a un policía honesto, bienintencionado y con un gran corazón. Ah y estúpido, profundamente estúpido. Sólo así se explica que se haya casado con una mujer insufrible, mezquina, vulgar y arribista como la que interpreta Rosie Pérez.
