Correcto aunque menor western dirigido por el gran John Sturges, (Los siete magníficos, El último tren de Gun Hill), donde Clint Eastwood retoma una vez más el papel de pistolero errante y rudo, enfrentado esta vez a un despiadado aristócrata que planea una brutal caza contra un provocador revolucionario llamado Luís Chama, (John Saxon).
Una buena oportunidad de ver a dos buenos actores enfrentados entre sí, Clint Eastwood y Robert Duvall.
