Hay veces en donde mezclar drama y comedia es algo casi imposible. La temática nazi es uno de esos difíciles casos que sólo el genial Lubitsch sogró salvar ( To bo or not to be ). Leo McCarey, extraordinario en muchos aspectos, deja la película indefinida entre una y otra cosa y sin llegar a redondear la mezcla.
