Coincidencia o no, la comparación con Capote de Bennett Miller es inevitable. Y aunque hay opiniones que consideran lo contrario, para mí es ciertamente mejor la segunda. Y eso que Historia de un crimen, de la que aquí hablo, narra punto por punto los mismos hechos, pero no imprime la tensión que queda patente en Capote, en parte por la majestuosa interpretación de Phillip Seymor Hoffman, en parte por la dirección de Miller.
Sin quitar mérito ni a Toby Jones ni a Douglas McGrath, ni por supuesto a una sorprendente Sandra Bullock ni a un siempre extraordinario Daniel Craig. La película sabe reflexionar, conmover, emocionar. Muy por encima de la media, Historia de un crimen merece ser revisitada siempre, para así no olvidar que la crueldad sigue ahí aunque ya no sea tan patente.
