Drama
After nearly two years of unemployment, Antonio (Lamberto Maggiorani) finally finds work posting bills. But he needs a bicycle to do the job. Unfortunately, he was forced to pawn his own bicycle long ago, so Antonio has to exchange his family's linen for his bicycle. But when the bike is stolen on his first day of work, he must comb the streets of Rome in search of the bike: his family's only means to survival.

Una obra de arte. Ésta película es una auténtica obra de arte, es imposible (y menos en éstos tiempos) realizar ahora una obra semejante, es intensa, dura, emotiva....
Nadie se puede morir sin ver esta película ya que es fascinante. La ví de niño en aquél memorable programa de cine de José Luis Garci y me emocioné profundamente.
No te puedes morir sin ver esta película, esa crudeza y esa forma de representar una realidad tan dura y una época y un país.
