Action. Thriller
When his estranged daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped in Paris, a former spy and special agent, Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson), sets out to find her at any cost. Relying on his special skills, he tracks down the ruthless gang that abducted her and launches a one-man war to bring them to justice and rescue his daughter.

Taken (me niego a utilizar el título Venganza, no tiene sentido) tiene lo que un titulo de estas características debe tener: hostias y más hostias.
Son 93 minutos de los cuales 25 nos preparan para lo que va a pasar con un guión bastante torpe (sobran 10 ó 15 minutos); luego viene una brillante escena que te engancha a la película y a partir de aquí ya no hay respiro. El prota no se anda con historias y rompe más brazos que Steven Seagal en sus mejores tiempos. La película se cierra con un epílogo de unos 8 ó 10 minutos lógico por esos minutos de más del primer acto, pero totalmente innecesario.
Son 93 minutos de los cuales 25 nos preparan para lo que va a pasar con un guión bastante torpe (sobran 10 ó 15 minutos); luego viene una brillante escena que te engancha a la película y a partir de aquí ya no hay respiro. LO MEJOR: el secuestro, la escena en la que el prota se hace pasar por el jefe de policía francés, la cena en casa de este último, una tortura de las buenas y en general todas las cafradas del personaje de Liam Nesson, tipo Jack Bauer (el de 24).
LO PEOR: las típicas exageraciones inverosímiles de las pelis de acción, que estropean bastante el clímax del film; el primer acto y el epílogo; un mensaje americanista a más no poder (EEUU es el paraíso y todo lo que está fuera es el infierno, nos vienen a decir); y la realización y montaje del film: intenta y no consigue -pues es muy complicado- copiar el estilo de Paul Greengrass (prefiero a McTiernan, pero reconozco que funciona de maravilla en la saga Bourne) combinado con el montaje de las pelis de Michael Bay (4 ó 5 planos por segundo, para dar ritmo).
Esto último estropea un poco la función, pero para un seguidor del cine de acción esta película es un soplo de aire fresco, que cumple su función de hacer pasar un buen rato con un "poquito" de violencia sin edulcorantes.
