Lo mejor de la película es sin duda alguna la interpretación de Magdalena Flores, ella sola hace que la película pase de ser un documental sobre la vida rural mexicana a ser una historia conmovedora ya no por el personaje principal interpretado por Alejandro Ferretis, si no por Asen esa "viejita" que seguro te roba el alma.
Solo crea una duda, ¿porqué se llama la película Japón?
