Synopsis

François has shot and killed a man and is now holed up in his apartment, under siege by the police. Over the course of a long night, he reflects on the circumstances of how he, someone whom everyone regards as a basically decent man, was reduced to murder. The events leading up to that fateful confrontation are recounted in a series of flashbacks.
