Synopsis: Bindu and Girish appear to be a typical middle-class working couple in an urban setting in India, with an 8-month-old daughter, Pinki. They leave their baby with a caregiver and head to work. Sannamma mixes milk for Pinki with alcohol and lends the baby to a friend, Anasu. Anasu takes the baby to beg on the city streets, leaving her under a flyover for a while to grab a drink. A city sweeper, Pathu, accidentally discovers Pinki and takes her away. Bindu returns home on her way to the office, realizing with horror that Pinki and Sannamma are missing. Thus begins a frantic day of searching in a labyrinth where reunion seems impossible.
