Synopsis

A provincial American whose ultimate aspiration is to become an actor comes to visit his brother, a London banker who is about to close an important deal. The latter tries to get rid of him by sending him to a theater audition but, due to a mix-up, he becomes involved in a complex plot involving Soviet and British spies trying to destabilize world peace.
