- Synopsis
- This documentary on Basque mythology, by the writer Toti Martínez de Lezea and the anthropologist Anuntxi Arana, immerses the viewer in a universe full of legends and supernatural beings that were and are part of the collective imagination of the Basque people. Throughout the length and breadth of Euskal Herria, the documentary shows a multitude of ancestral beliefs, trying to answer some of them from a current point of view. An evocative story of a time when deities, human beings and the forces of nature, together formed a cast of ancient knowledge, which over time, were losing that connection that Amari reminds us.
