Synopsis
A group of apprentices spend nine months at one of the best restaurants in the world, Mugaritz. Although the restaurant's avant-garde and creative approach energizes many of them, not all of them are able to withstand the pressure. "Stage" is a French term for the position where cooks learn the techniques and styles of a specific chef, restaurant or region. A documentary that explores the passion, vulnerability and sacrifices of those who choose this challenging career. A look into the world of haute cuisine, showing the dedication required to reach the top of the Michelin chef hierarchy and reveals the ins and outs of maintaining a high quality restaurant.
