Synopsis

Renars (Kārlis Arnolds Avots) is a young Latvian who, twelve years before his country's independence, dreams of freedom, rock and jeans in Riga. He works as a costume designer in a public theater, but also makes a living dealing in banned Western goods. He wouldn't take any risks if it weren't for Maris (Igors Selegovkis), an ambitious young KGB agent who threatens to expose Renars' small undercover business if he doesn't start collaborating as an informer.
