Synopsis

TV series (2005-2006). 26 Episodes. In a timeless rural Japan, bridging the late Edo and early Meiji eras, the enigmatic traveler Ginko, a mushishi (master of mushi), wanders villages and mountains investigating strange phenomena. Mushi are primordial entities, invisible to most humans, existing without purpose beyond simply "being." They sometimes interfere in everyday life, bringing subtle blessings or inexplicable afflictions. Each episode stands alone: Ginko aids those affected, mediating a delicate balance between the human and the supernatural, exploring acceptance, nature, and the fragility of existence.
