Synopsis: In the year 1975, a massive natural catastrophe pushed civilization to the extreme. Revolts, large-scale conflicts and wars ensued. Homo homini lupus. The major continents were swamped by the sea. Huge amounts of pollution were spread after the collapse of nuclear power plants and because of atomic warheads. Few survived that fateful time. Children were born mutated or dead, taking their mothers with them. Fathers were left broken, wandering in bitterness and grief, driven to cannibalism by food shortages. In this sad new world, both nature and man are trying to survive and find a balance. Still, some individuals have managed to trust each other enough to establish groups that will provide them with the protection, food, clean water, medicine, electricity and knowledge necessary for a better life.

Aino is one of the lucky ones who is part of a group. But that doesn't make the world any less harsh. Giving his all in dangerous journeys and countless tasks is the only thing that keeps him from feeling isolated.
