Synopsis

Two intermingled stories that take place in the Valencian village of Favara. The first gives title to the film and tells the vicissitudes that happen to the young virginal Visanteta who, from her interpretation of Santa Barbara in a folkloric-religious play, has a kind of supernatural force in her favor, which consists of a divine help that appears every time she is about to be deflowered.
