Synopsis

3 episodes. When Russia rises in arms, the world contains breathing. The Russian empire has been molded over the centuries through devastating wars and ruthless rulers in search of power. Pedro el Grande, founder of the city of St. Petersburg, used weapons and cannons to redraw the continent maps. His descendants in Romanov's house went from leading the world's largest army to be defeated at the hands of the Bolsheviks. The newly founded Soviet Union resisted Hitler's murderous machine, only to suppress her own people. And after the disappearance of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Putin undertook a campaign to revitalize Russian imperialism, if necessary, by force. Through unpublished archive images, testimonies of international experts and interactive maps, this three episodes documentary series tells the history of the struggle of the Russian nation to try to achieve its objectives.
