- Synopsis
- This version of the classic Lewis Carroll tale stars Kate Beckinsale as Alice. Though Beckinsale plays a more mature Alice, she maintains the same childlike innocence that characterized Carroll's precocious child protagonist. Beckinsale's understated performance gives the film a subtlety lacking from previous film adaptations. Strong performances by Beckinsale and Ian Holm make the film as interesting to adults as it is to children.
