Synopsis
Far up in northern Norway, in the cod-fishing community of Øksnes, there are children as young as 5 who work as codfish tongue cutters. Tongue cutting is an old tradition which is still important today to recruit future fishermen in northern Norway. The film tells the story of the 9-year-old city girl Ylva, who spends her winter holiday with her grandmother and grandfather and the 11-year-old Tobias, who is already an experienced tongue cutter. Ylva and Tobias got to know each other last winter, but now it's time to let Ylva give tongue cutting a try!
