Synopsis

Based somewhat loosely on the very real bandit Graziano Mesina, it makes an interesting companion piece to Carlo Lizzani's 'Barbagia' (coming soon) and also, curiously, the same years' 'The Protagonists' - which features one notably identical scene - as the bandit looks down at the police searching below, he observes "if I wanted to kill them now, it would be a massacre."
