- Synopsis
- Working part-time in a small government agency is far from Ho-chan's dream job, but--with his family in financial trouble and his university application stalled out--he's in no position to complain. Embracing his role in the office hierarchy, Ho-chan quickly wins the approval of his supervisors, and when a fulltime position opens up, everyone agrees he's perfect for the job. Problems arise, however, when another temp, a chipper young woman armed with cupcakes and a winning smile, decides to make a play for the same position too.
A barbed look at office politics, the award-winning debut from director Lee Yong-seung subtly captures the charged dynamics of workplace rivalries, when co-workers become conspirators and things grow cutthroat in the cubicles.
