Synopsis

When an exclusive role in a Scorsese film is being cast, how far will a group of friends go to get the part and how often will they stab each other in the back? With friends like these...who needs enemies?

Johnny (Robert Costanzo) is an actor who makes his living playing television "bad guys." He lands a secret audition with director Martin Scorsese which could turn out to be his big break. When Johnny's struggling actor friends find out about the private audition, they lie, cheat, and steal to get a piece of the action. Hollywood loyalty is put to the test when this group of friends do whatever they can to make-it big. Winner of the High Hopes Award at the Munich Film Festival 1998, Best Of The Fest Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival 1998, and the Opening Night Film and Audience Favorite Award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival 1998.
