Synopsis

A fig tree located on the lands of a baron in the Po Valley has been an object of veneration for many centuries. The baron, a cripple and an atheist, one day sees a girl perched on the tree in a blessing pose and mistakes her for the saint venerated by his fellow villagers. The aristocrat immediately converts and decides to donate his assets to a religious institution.
