Synopsis

Madrid, late 50's. José María Jarabo lives surrounded by appearances: impeccable suits, luxury hotels, high society friendships and an irresistible seduction. But behind that sophisticated image hides a ruined man, addicted and emotionally devastated by his relationship with Beryl, a married English woman with whom he falls obsessively in love. As he tries to sustain a life that is already crumbling, Jarabo enters a spiral of humiliation, debt and violence that will culminate in a brutal crime capable of paralyzing the entire country.
