- Synopsis
- Count de Verlaine (Jacques Perrin) is a young nobleman with a well-to-do life dedicated to seducing women, and among them one of his lovers is Antoinette (Michèle Girardon), the wife of Baron de La Flèche. But two events will change the course of his hedonistic life. First, the count's encounter with the beautiful innkeeper Angelica (Raffaella Carrà) who, in turn, is in love with "The Marseillaise" (Giulio Bosetti), a masked rebel who fights for the people and against monarchical tyranny.
