In 1957 New York City, Rudolf Abel is arrested and charged with spying for the Soviet Union. Insurance lawyer James B. Donovan (Tom Hanks) is appointed to defend Abel, so that Abel's trial will be seen as fair. Pelicula que nos enseña la historia de un maravilloso ser humano y que de no ser contada en el cine seria olvidado o ignorado. Es una historia sobre espias en plena guerra fría, donde James B. Donovan ejerce de abogado e intermediario mostrandonos valores tales como la integridad, tolerancia y humanidad.
