Film noir. Mystery. Thriller
Based on Lionel White's crime novel 'Clean Break'. Johnny Clay (Sterling Hayden) is an ex-con with a plan to steal $2 million from a San Francisco racetrack. He assembles an odd collection of tough guys and moles to participate in the heist. But just as there is no such thing as the perfect murder, there is no such thing as the perfect crime.

Excelente película de cine negro. Estupendos actores como Sterling Hayden, Elisha Cook y Marie Windsor (matrimonio también el la vida real) recrean un ambiente muy creíble con exteriores en Los Angeles y alrededores. Gran obra del genio Kubrick en sus comienzos. Es un clásico. Para toda clase de espectadores y sobre todo para los amantes del mejor cine negro.
