Cassavetes y los negros, en los años 50 y 60. Sin topicazos, al estilo underground y con la cámara encima del hombro. En aquellos años. El genuino sabor cassavetiano dando de morros al establishment de Hollywood con una película diferente. Dura, descarnada. ¿Alguien conoce a estos actores? Pues lo son y con letras mayúsculas. Y encima la música es de Mingus. Y que no hay guión. Y que todo es improvisado. Y que la fotografía también es morrocotuda. Y que viva el B/N. Y que me gusta que se diferencien las sombras, y que se noten, y que todo sea de noche. Y que viva Cassavetes y la madre que lo parió.
