Captain Wade Hunnicutt, the richest and most powerful man in his town in Texas, is a womanizer, which has caused the ruin of their marriage. His wife dedicates herself in body and soul to her son. However, there comes a time when Hunnicutt decides to take care of his education hunting with him and starting with him other male activities.

Empiezo diciendo que me esperaba más de una película que había leído que era genial, casi una obra maestra.
Para empezar, algunas escenas sobran, simplemente las ponen por alargar metraje que al final se hace tedioso. También digo que otras escenas son muy buenas para su época.(a mí, en particular me gustó la de la caza del ¿jabalí?.)
Las actuciones son decentes. Destaco al genial Robert Mitchum y a George Peppard.
Destaca también la fotografía.
