Aunque no es una gran película, es entretenida de ver y no se hace nada pesada. No aporta gran cosa, ya que el argumento es similiar al de otras películas que tratan el tema de Casanova.
A destacar el vestuario, los decorados y la música de época, sobretodo en la escena del baile de carnaval.
