Sólo por Steve Buscemi, y por la presencia de la delicada belleza de Alison Lohman, podría considerar que han valido (aunque sea minimamente y por rescatar algo bueno) la pena estos noventaitantos minutos de mi vida frente al televisor. La trama es sencilla. Un muchacho medio idiota y mugriento (Michael Pitt) vagabundea por las calles y sueña con conocer a K'Harma (Alison Lohman), una estrellita de pop adolescente. Se encuentra en su camino a un fotógrafo fracasado (Steve Buscemi) quién acepta alojarlo en su departamento a cambio de su ayuda como asistente. Les Galantine (Buscemi), trata al muchacho como a un inferior para quitarse la mufa de sentirse él mismo un ser inferior. Lo malo llega después (aunque hay un aviso claro al principio).
