Rutinario producto de propaganda con un guión un poco tontuelo sobre la toma de conciencia de un mafiosillo reacio a participar en las fuerzas armadas de EEUU durante la segunda guerra mundial. Correcta actuación del inexpresivo Alan Ladd, una bella Helen Walker y poco más. El director Frank Tuttle y Alan Ladd rodarían ese mismo año con Veronica Lake la magnífica “This gun for hire”, infinitamente superior a este producto de circunstancias.
