Film noir. Mystery. Thriller Based on Lionel White's crime novel 'Clean Break'. Johnny Clay (Sterling Hayden) is an ex-con with a plan to steal $2 million from a San Francisco racetrack. Genial obra de Kubrick. Sus dotes de fotografía e iluminación quedan patentes en esta película. Retrato de perdedores a quienes solo queda la esperanza de haber logrado algo. Como siempre Kubrick y las miserias del ser humano.
