Notable parodia, donde un vicioso actor de poca monta debe interpretar a Sherlock Holmes, para el doctor Watson. Este, por tratarse de un médico, es poco visto como detective, por lo que decide contratar a este actor. El caso de unas planchas de imprenta de billetes de 5 libras, es el tema central, donde el infaltable profesor Moriarty es el villano. En esta cinta, Michael Caine nos muestra el excelente actor que es.
