Francis Ford Coppola hace la película que quiere denunciando lo que ve, está claro que reduce la duración de la misma para no saturar y eso hace que salte de escena a escena a tijeretazos, deja pinceladas de su forma de rodar con unos planos muy buenos; en cuánto a las interpretaciones cabe destacar a Matt Dillon.
