En una misión en Oriente Medio, en plena revuelta popular contra la embajada americana, un coronel americano manda a sus tropas abrir fuego contra la multitud. A la vuelta a EEUU es acusado de asesinato por el propio ejército americano. El veterano Friedkin dirige con solvencia un entretenido drama escrito por el guionista de "Traffic". Lo mejor; su excelente reparto.
