In 1941 the Japanese are at odds with the United States on a number of issues which they are attempting to resolve via their Washington embassy. In case this diplomacy fails, the military are hatching plans for a surprise early Sunday morning air attack on the U.S. base at Pearl Harbour. Espejo en el que deberían reflejarse todas aquellas películas bélicas que pretendan ser algo en la historia del cine. La historia bien narrada, sin apelotonar hechos, sino contándolos de forma fluida, contando lo que hay que contar, usando los efectos especiales necesarios para dar el empaque necesario a la acción, escenas luego utilizadas en otras películas de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
