- Synopsis
- William is a young angry man who lives on odd jobs and petty thefts despite his wealthy background. He lives alone in an apartment without any comfort in a rundown building on the outskirts of the city. He is politically engaged and rejects with disgust the proposals of the "director" (perhaps his father) to go into business, by affirming his contempt for materialism. He begins a relationship with a young bourgeois woman, Noëlle, who feels attracted by his iconoclasm. A rival, a police called Vogel, monitors William and has him arrested for his thefts to prepare the field in order to seduce Noëlle.
