Synopsis
»Schneeglöckchen blühn im September« is the 2nd part of the Trilogy of the Upright Walk, a series of Proletarian films by director Christian Ziewer; the other two parts being »Liebe Mutter, mir geht es gut.« (1971)—one of the more famous German worker films—and »Der aufrechte Gang« (1975). »Schneeglöckchen blühn im September« is inspired by wildcat strike actions happening in the German Ruhr area in September 1969. Most of the people in the film are amateur actors and actual industrial workers.

»›When we talk about the new times, don't let us be misunderstood, because we have our doubts, if they're moving forward...‹
This feature film from 1973 starring Claus Eberth describes the industrial dispute of a crew of pieceworkers in a big German industrial firm and its staff against the background of the 'September strikes' in the FGR: campaigns for standard wage, quarrels about cost of living bonusses. The topics are sinking wages, economical hardship and joint action. A social struggle that always arises anew.« (translated from http://basisdvd.de)
