- Synopsis
- A bachelor pub owner discovers he is the father of an 11 year old son. They are estranged due to the mother's living in New York City, and the father living in Portersburgh, Scotland.
The father's former friend is now a premier soccer player in London, who is found to have animal testing in the lab producing his line of men's colognes, etc. Having seen a clip on the news showing a dog making a goal on a soccer field, he sets off, at his agent's direction, to redeem himself and his team by playing against his old team mates who now boast a soccer playing dog on their team.
Unbeknownst to everyone involved, this dog is the result of scientific engineering himself, and the unscrupulous scientist is also heading for the game, to recover his lab experiment!
Happily, all ends well when the father and son, who has been hiding his own talent at soccer, bond during the final few minutes of the game, as they work together on the field to defeat their opponents, win possession of the European Cup and save the father's pub, which had been put up in a bet against the old friend and his team.
