Synopsis: “Not The Science Type” is a documentary series that presents the story of four female scientists, who as they rise to prominence in fields such as microbiology and nuclear engineering, challenge stereotypes and confront gender discrimination, race and age. Although each of the women have taken a different path towards the search for scientific excellence, they share the experience of searching for meaning marginalized or “not of the kind” in this type of field, which has traditionally been considered for men.
