- The floor-to-ceiling stained glass walls that encompass St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Chicago depict a forest imagery of trees, leaves and birds. Scattered throughout the large-scaled "woods" are eight depictions of the Blessed Mother as seen throughout the history of the church. Each image represents a different spiritual devotion to the Blessed Mother practiced by Catholics throughout the world. "The Marian Stained Glass Windows" is an eight part series hosted by different authorities on the subject from the Chicagoland area.
