- Synopsis
- Nat Moyer (Walter Matthau) and Midge Carter (Ossie Davis) are a comically mismatched duo of geriatric New Yorkers, who observe the idiosyncrasies of modern urban life while seated on a bench in Central Park. When Midge, who also serves as the manager of Nat's apartment building, becomes threatened by retirement, Nat jumps in to stand up for his friend--taking on a drug dealer, a mugger, and even his daughter. This film was adapted by Herb Gardner from his Tony-winning play.
