Documentary Based on three years of investigation, the film explains the interesting reality of Planned Obsolescence (the deliberate shortening of product lifespans to increase consumer demand) from its beginnings in the 1920s, citing cases where consumer electronics are affected, such as inkjet printers and the iPod, or the disappearance of ladder-resistant nylon stockings.
