Una gran recreación constumbrista inglesa, impecable en ese sentido, sin embargo en sus típicas veladas se nota la ausencia de un diálogo más brillante o más sutil.
Y es que el guión marca pautas que finalmente no logra terminarlas. Es el mayor defecto de esta película, ya que habiéndo conseguido una gran representación de los personajes y su entorno, la trama y los diálogos quedaron muy por detrás.
