Romance. Drama Stefan and Dolly Oblonsky have had a little spat and Stefan has asked his sister, Anna Karenina, to come down to Moscow to help mend the rift. Las novelas del XIX retratan y satirizan el ambiente aristocrático de sus sociedades. Por ello cualquiera de las versiones de Ana Karenina nos recuerdan a películas mas recientes como "La edad de la inocencia".

De la Ana Karenina de 1948 destaco a Vivien Leigh, que es una monada, los decorados y la fotografía. La cámara se aleja a menudo de los protagonistas para hacernos sentir la frialdad y la soledad de los personajes.
